Origins and attitudes

Indigenous Spanish breed in danger of extinction. It takes its name from the area of ​​origin, the island of Menorca (Balearic Archipelago). It derives from the southern variant of the primitive horses of the Iberian peninsula.
Raised mainly in Menorca even if for ten years it is also present in the peninsula.

Morphological characters

Type: mesomorphic.
Black cloak. White spots on head and limbs are allowed, as long as they are small.

Height at the withers:
- Male: 161 cm
- Female: 157 cm

Uses: sport and leisure.
