Origin and diffusion

Breed originating in Istria which has undergone the influence of the breeds of alpine stock. It is bred in the province of Gorizia (just over 100 animals present) in the wild on poor and often degraded pastures (integration of hay and cereals). Dual-purpose breed (milk and meat); the kids are slaughtered at 10-15 kg. The Registry has been activated.

Morphological and productive characteristics

Cut it: medium-small.
Head: fine, light.
Pile: entirely white.
Height average at the withers: Females a. cm. 60
medium: Females a. kg. 50
is medium milk: multipurpose lt. 320 - 420
